Acoustic Lounge blends feel-good jazz with soulful grooves, creating a distinctive sound that’s both relaxed and playful. After their debut album earned over three million streams globally, the Danish group returns with a bold new release, featuring some of Denmark’s finest jazz talent.

The quintet – lfounded by percussionists Mikkel Schnettler and Michael Hartvig – also includes vocalist/pianist Søren Baun, bassist Jesper Bodilsen, and saxophonist Gabor Bolla. Their unique setup, with no traditional drum kit, layers rich World-influenced rhythms and smooth, captivating arrangements.

The band reinterprets everything from jazz standards like “Alone Together” and Jobim’s “One Note Samba” to pop classics like Elvis’ “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and Pharrell’s “Happy,” putting their own modern twist on each track while preserving its essence.

Bassist Jesper Bodilsen, winner of the Django d’Or Prize as ‘Performer of the Year’ in 2004, has toured the world, performing with some of the biggest names in Jazz including Brad Meldau, Bill Frisell, and Gregory Porter. Hungarian saxophonist Gabor Bolla has played with some of the biggest stars including Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Johnny Griffin and Gary Peacock. Gabor has a unique style and energy in his beautiful mix of hard-bop solos and Eastern European melody lines.
